The first few days of the new Trump administration will be critical when it comes to implementing his plans for unauthorized immigrants in the United States. According to most experts the unauthorized immigrants who have criminal records both abroad and in the US will be among the first to be deported.

During a recent interview with 60 Minutes, then President-elect Trump stated that his pledge to deport unauthorized immigrants has not faltered from the stance he took during his presidential campaign. According to Trump there will be at least 2 million unauthorized immigrants that can be deported due to criminal records alone.

What Does Trump’s Presidential Victory Mean for Immigration?

Now that the initial surprise of Donald Trump winning the 2016 United States Presidential election has begun to wear off, many are beginning to look to the future regarding what the president-elect will do in terms of several key issues. California to Give Important Rights to Illegal Immigrants

The state of California has officially given several important rights to those who have entered the United States illegally and have been called illegal aliens in the past. However, according to California’s lawmakers, the word alien will be erased from the state’s labor code.

California currently has one of the highest number of illegal immigrants in the country, with the number hovering around 3 million. It is because of this monumental number, Republican strategist Mike Madrid has gone on record stating that California doesn’t have the luxury to be ideological when concerning the undocumented immigrants.
